There have been some enquiries about tickets for the drive-in movie asking if it will be OK to pay on the night.
However, it doesn't look like the organisers will be able to facilitate cash payments on the night, and admittance will be by ticket only.
Richard Marshall, chair of the Friends of Lightwoods Park said, “Logistically it is already quite a task to get 400-500 cars in to the the park extension and parked up in a relatively short time, even with tickets. To try to take cash at the same time could mean we will end up creating a traffic jam, bearing in mind the cars will start going in during the rush hour. We are talking to our partners at Sandwell Leisure Trust about it, but at the moment it seems we will not be able to admit people without a pre-paid ticket.”
So the message is clear – if you are going to the drive-in, get a ticket!
Tickets are available from the ticket office at Thimblemill Swimming Baths, or by phoning 0303 303 0121.
