The Shakespeare Garden

I am indebted to Cherie O’Sullivan,  Sandwell Council’s Parks Project Officer, for managing to come up with a copy of the leaflet relating to the plants in The Shakespeare Garden, together with a potted history of the Garden. This followed a request on this blog by Paul Willis who is currently working in the Gardens and who was looking for  any information about how the Gardens used to be in the past.

As the leaflet details, the Garden was originally designed to include a wide variety of plants and flowers mentioned in the works of William Shakespeare, and the leaflet describes the plants and associates them with the relevant plays.

It is quite fascinating, and you can download a PDF file of the leaflet by following the link here.
